New Outrageous Graphic Novel About Santa Helps Kids Laugh & Learn to Read

Stone Age Santa is a fun to read graphic novel geared for the group most in need of reading: children ages 9 to 14. Kids that do supplemental, voluntary reading during these ages tend to remain readers and statistically do better in terms of future education and earnings. Stone Age Santa uses the very popular graphic novel visual format to bring the written word to boy and girls in this unique age range. But, unlike many graphic novels that rely solely on images and limited speech text, Stone Age Santa tells a parallel story to engage the young reader more and require more of them, including the use of challenging words to build their vocabulary. Young minds that are wired more for images can better define the meaning of the words, if surrounded by pictures.

The writer of Stone Age Santa is Kevin O'Donnell, award-winning creator of the acclaimed Revolutionary War animated series, Liberty's Kids, produced by DIC Entertainment in conjunction with PBS. The artist, Boo Young Kim, is a top television and comic artist who brings the comedy and action to life in an appealing manner to kids who are more typically found playing video games than reading a book.

Graphedia will be releasing a slate of positive and cool graphic novels from Novel Universe including the second LOST SANTA book, Space Age Santa, which will be published in 2008.
